Humberto Luis appointed Chief Operating Officer of Bindomatic
(Stockholm, Sweden, May 16, 2016) – Bindomatic AB, the Binding Efficiency Experts, today announced that Humberto Luis has been named chief operating officer effective immediately. Previously, Luis held the position of general manager of the Bindomatic production facility in Fátima, Portugal.
"Having worked very closely with Humberto for many years, I have seen his commitment to the well-being of our company," said Göran Tolf, Bindomatic's CEO. "We are excited to recognize his many contributions by promoting him to the role of chief operating officer. Along with his 26 years of loyalty to the company, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position—the importance of which cannot be overstated and will be beneficial for the success and longevity of Bindomatic.
Luis joined Bindomatic in 1990 as the Fátima plant's first employee. Since then, he has grown the facility from three to 50 employees and managed the production of Bindomatic's industry-leading binding machines with Drop&Go Technology® and their corresponding covers.
As chief operating officer for Bindomatic, Luis will be responsible for modernizing the technology that facilitates internal workflows and communication with customers and suppliers, positioning the production plants in Portugal and U.S. for future growth plans, streamlining production, and maximizing relationships with international supply vendors. He will also maintain his general management of the Fátima plant.
